Dogs, Cockroaches, and Geckos

Doing my online writing class.

Fresh fruit in the market.

Durian fruit, I want to try it!

Outdoor noodle soup restaurant.

Yesterday was very busy. In the morning, we had family devotion time, I did my online live writing class, and then we went out for breakfast. THAT was interesting because no one knew any English, so we pointed to a few things and hoped it would be good. Thankfully, it was! Next, we went street shopping and I got a nice shirt for one hundred baht ($3). Then we went to a Thai massage place with our missionary friends, which was like nothing I could ever describe well enough. Lets just say it WASN'T relaxing, and in the end you felt like you would never be able to walk again! We are so glad that surprisingly we feel great today. After that, we went for dinner. We had to take a motorcycle taxi to get to the outdoor restaurant. The ride itself wan't scary, but the fact that we each had our own motorcycle, and we had no clue where we were going, in the middle of the dark night, was pretty frightening. We just had to trust the Lord to keep us from harm and He did! During our meal, we had a lot of entertainment. While I was eating, I looked down and almost screamed! Four cockroaches were crawling around my feet! I was grossed out, so I moved my chair away from them. Now and then stray dogs would walk by and I couldn't help but give them a few scraps, and a gecko ran up the wall behind me. It was an eventful, exciting day and I'm excited to see what other adventures are in store on this trip!
